Leadership Development Consultant

Elizabeth "Liz" Thach, Ph.D. is a management professor and consultant who delivers high-impact, results-focused coaching and leadership programs. Her areas of expertise are executive coaching, change management, strategy development, human resource management, and international leadership development. Her work experience encompasses the high-tech, telecom, energy, and wine industry segments. Liz brings over 18 years of leadership experience to her coaching work, based on management and executive positions with Compaq, MediaOne (now AT&T), Amoco, and Texas Instruments, as well as numerous consulting and teaching experiences. She has worked in more than 15 countries, and has coached hundreds of leaders worldwide. Prior to making a work/life transition into her current role as Associate Professor of Management at Sonoma State University, Liz managed the executive development and coaching process for more than 500 executives at MediaOne. In this role, she also worked on merger integration teams to assist in the transition of human resource processes from MediaOne to AT&T.

Liz holds a doctorate in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University; an M.A. in Organizational Communication and Management from Texas Tech University, and a B.A. in English from College of Notre Dame in Belmont, CA. She has published one book, more than 50 articles and 3 book chapters, with 6 of these focused on executive coaching and leadership development.
