Organizations of all sizes can benefit from leadership assessment, but to have a positive effect on your company, you need to choose the right software. Understanding how assessments work will help guide your decision to use the best tool available.
It’s accepted that there are certain traits and competencies shared by successful leaders. A leadership assessment seeks to analyze a candidate’s behavior and provide a comprehensive analysis of how closely a person’s current competencies align with global norms. Assessment results can then be used for progression planning to help employees develop the skills they need to be a successful leader within the organization.
A Different Approach to Leadership Assessment
Different assessment tools use different methodologies—but it’s important to note not all offer objective and validated results. LeaderNAVTM is a proprietary software that was developed by Dr. Jeff Evans, PhD based on his extensive experience in human and organizational development.
At the core of LeaderNAVTM are the Leadership MultiRater assessments. Each assessment is made up of 136 questions and is distributed to an employee’s colleagues. It’s important that a variety of people at different levels in the organization are a part of the rater group. The questions focus on a variety of behaviors including Emotional Intelligence, leadership styles and perception factors.
Once complete, LeaderNAVTM uses the results of individual Leadership MultiRater assessments to provide HR, talent development personnel or other executives with a single-page overview of all employees that took the assessment. This allows the business to make intelligent decisions regarding leadership development resources.
LeaderNAVTM is available to businesses for a one-time analysis or can be licensed to provide ongoing assessment for a large group of employees.
Envision Global Leadership is an established leadership assessment and development company. With our proprietary assessment tool, LeaderNAVTM, we’ve helped companies assess key leadership competencies within their organization and helped them develop and support future leaders.
