Common Leadership Derailers
There are a number of behaviors that have the possibility to stunt leadership development within the organization if not properly addressed. Some of the most common derailers include:
Indecisiveness or lack of confidence
Lack of awareness for self or others
Egotistical, arrogant or self-promoting
Unreliable or untrustworthy
Critical or argumentative and not open to new ideas
All the above behaviors can limit a person’s ability to effectively lead, but if identified, can be corrected with proper leadership development and coaching.
