Every AATC teaches you to work with teams. ACT also certifies you on ALII-Map Self: a patented prediction system that forecasts how an organization will perform based on how its leaders behave, and shows what to change to improve it. Criterion-validated against approximately 1,000 scored leaders.

Fifteen additional hours of asynchronous certification, available the day you enroll. You take your own ALII-Map Self assessment, receive your own leadership report, and learn to interpret the system using your own results rather than a sample. Seven course sections, ten knowledge checks, and practitioner dashboard access on completion.

Overview

EGL’s Advanced Coaching Teams (ACT) program is one of the only ICF-Accredited AATCs that integrates leadership as a core element.

ACT is structured around developing mastery of your own capability to work with groups, and understanding how you work with yourself. This ACTC pathway includes self-paced asynchronous pre-work, highly interactive live web sessions, and three days of in-person training, totaling 72 hours of ICF-AATC accredited training.

ALII-Map Self Core certification is included, adding 15 hours of asynchronous training beyond the 72 accredited hours.

ICF Certified Coaches who complete 60+ hours of this program will be awarded an AATC Certificate of Completion which they may use to apply for the ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC).

Completing this course will help you:

  • Read where a team is in its development and choose the intervention that fits, instead of defaulting to the one you know best.
  • Work a leadership team, a task team, and an Agile team differently, because each needs something different from you.
  • See how one leader’s behavior is propagating through the group, and name it without putting that leader on trial.
  • Work across levels of system – individual, group, and organization – and move between them deliberately.
  • Identify learning blocks within and between levels of system.
  • Use a model to plan interventions that accelerate growth and change across organization levels.

Who is best fit?

ACT is built for ICF-credentialed coaches already working with senior leaders who want a defensible method for working with their teams. If you have been asked to take on a leadership team and want more than instinct to work from, this is the program.

Participants learn a systemic team coaching approach grounded in the features that make team coaching distinct from individual coaching.

Supervised live virtual: Wednesdays 9:00–10:30 am PT — Feb 17, 24; Mar 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; Apr 7, 14, 21, 28
Unsupervised live virtual: scheduled by participants (6 hours team coaching by April 14; 2 hours ethics discussion by April 20)

18 seats. Six hotel packages.

The in-person days cap this cohort at 18. Enrollment is reviewed on a rolling basis, and seats are held in the order applications are accepted.

The first six enrollments receive four nights at Hotel Milo, Santa Barbara, checking in Monday February 8 and out Friday February 12, with room and tax covered. Parking, incidentals, and additional nights are the attendee’s. Local participants may take an $850 tuition credit instead.

Dr. Jeff Evans, PhD, MCC – designer and primary instructor in Advanced Coaching with Groups and Teams.

Dr. Evans practices in the world of leadership development at the senior level of organizations. Working with teams and groups is a requirement for that level of work. He has been very active with ICF and has developed multiple ICF-accredited coach training programs. Besides this work in executive coaching, he has an extensive background in working with teams.

Dr. Jeff Evans spent over 15 years designing and facilitating high-performance work teams globally. His extensive background encompasses not only the implementation of team-based organizations but also providing support during significant transitional periods. As a result, Dr. Evans possesses deep knowledge and proficiency in the field of team coaching.

This course is an intersection of those two areas of expertise, done within the ICF framework for accreditation. Targeted from the ICF team coaching competencies, it also draws heavily from open systems theory, as well as Gestalt Organization and Systems processes. Dr. Evans’ approach is deeply rooted in understanding the intricacies of human dynamics. This comprehensive understanding allows for a thorough exploration of team dynamics and fosters a holistic approach to team development.
